The Lie You Keep Believing About Your Body (And Why It’s Keeping You Stuck)

Most women say they hate their body, but it’s not actually the truth.

What they hate is how it feels to live in it right now; the exhaustion, the symptoms, the frustration, the lack of control. The misunderstanding between those two things, it’s the very thing keeping them stuck.

Your Body Isn’t Working Against You

It’s easy to believe your body is broken when nothing you’re trying seems to give you the results you are looking for and your symptoms don’t make sense. But your body isn’t fighting you, it’s responding.

It’s responding to:

  • Your habits
  • Your stress
  • Your environment
  • Your past experiences

When you don’t understand that, you start forcing solutions. You jump from plan to plan, then quit when results don’t come fast enough. You reinforce the lie: “Nothing works for me.”

The Belief That Keeps You Stuck

If you believe your body is the problem, your actions will support that belief.

You’ll begin to:

  • Distrust your body
  • Ignore its signals
  • Look for quick fixes
  • Avoid long-term commitment

When you learn to support and work with your body, results (like healing), will follow.

Stewardship Over Shame

You were not given a body to fight, you are meant to steward it.

Stewardship requires three things:

  • Awareness
  • Responsibility
  • Discipline

So stop the cycle of shame, avoidance and outsourcing your health to the next “quick fix.”

It requires you to slow down enough to actually pay attention.

Why Most People Stay Stuck

Modern culture is built on distraction.

There is constant input, noise and consumption.

But reflection is often overlooked.

Without awareness, you can’t take responsibility.
And without responsibility, nothing changes.

Instead, many people:

  • Consume endless information
  • Look for easier answers
  • Avoid the hard work

But information alone doesn’t create transformation, it’s the action you take with that information.

Praying for Healing Without Changing Patterns

Many people are asking God for healing but they’re unwilling to change the behaviors that are keeping them stuck.

If you want to heal, you have to also be a willing and active participant.

Healing requires:

  • Changing habits
  • Facing uncomfortable truths
  • Letting go of old patterns
  • Doing the hard things consistently

Growth and healing are rarely comfortable, but when they are intentional that’s when change happens.

You’re Not Stuck—You’re Choosing Patterns

It may feel like you’re stuck, but it’s likely a repetition of the same patterns.

The same thoughts.
The same habits.
The same decisions.

And until those change, nothing else will. Here’s the shift that changes everything;

It happens when you stop asking “What’s wrong with me?” and start asking:

“What is my body trying to tell me?”

That question creates awareness.
And awareness creates the opportunity for change.
