Find Your Root Cause

Everyone wants to find their root cause.

That phrase gets thrown around constantly in the health space. It sounds intelligent and proactive, like you’re unlocking a secret. It sounds like THE answer.

But the truth? Most of what’s being labeled as “root cause” isn’t even the root.

That misunderstanding is exactly will keep you stuck.

Inside my Find Your Root Cause Bootcamp, I walked a group of women step-by-step through what it looks like to uncover what’s driving their symptoms. What they discovered changed everything. It wasn’t complicated, but because it was accurate.

Let’s talk about it.

Step 1: You Start With Symptoms—Not Guesses

Your body is always communicating. When you have symptoms they’re not random, they’re signals, data points, which is why they’re the starting place.

Trying to skip past symptoms and jump straight to solutions creates confusion. It leads to chasing trends, trying supplements blindly, and constantly starting over.

Inside the bootcamp, we started by identifying symptoms clearly and honestly one step at a time.

Step 2: Your Symptoms Form Patterns

One symptom on its own doesn’t tell the full story, but patterns do.

You may be dealing with afternoon crashes, cravings, poor sleep, weight resistance, and emotional overwhelm. These are not isolated issues, they point to something deeper when viewed together.

Patterns reveal what your body is actually dealing with beneath the surface and this is where most people miss it. When you treat symptoms individually you wind up missing the connections between them.

Step 3: The 4 Drivers Behind Your Symptoms

Once patterns are identified, the next step is understanding what is driving them.

There are four primary drivers:

1. Blood Sugar Instability

Blood sugar impacts far more than energy, it also has an effect on:

  • Hormones
  • Mood
  • Cravings
  • Weight distribution
  • Sleep quality

Blood sugar issues can show up even in people who eat “clean” and exercise regularly. Stress, trauma, and inflammation all play a role.

2. Stress on Your Cells

Stress is not just emotional. It is physiological.

Your body does not distinguish between “good” stress and “bad” stress. It all registers the same.

This is why chronic stress leads to: brain fog, hormonal disruption, low body temperature, poor nutrient absorption and burnout.

When your cells are stressed, your entire system struggles to function properly.

3. Nutrient Depletion

Your body can’t function without the raw materials it needs.

Even with a “healthy diet,” nutrient depletion can occur due to:

  • Stress
  • Poor absorption
  • Medications
  • Chronic inflammation

Deficiency at the cellular level leads to dysfunction at the system level.

4. Lifestyle Patterns

Your daily habits either support healing or work against it.

Sleep, movement, boundaries, emotional regulation, and consistency all matter.

When you have short bursts of discipline it can’t override poor foundational patterns.

Why Discipline Alone Is Not Enough

Discipline can get results, the problem is that discipline applied to the wrong layer creates temporary change, not lasting transformation.

You can follow a strict routine and still feel stuck if you are not addressing the actual drivers underneath your symptoms.

Lasting results require alignment, not just effort.

Your Body Was Designed to Heal—In Order

Healing isn’t random, it follows a process.

Inside my work, that process looks like this:

  1. Discover
  2. Detox
  3. Discipline

Then repeat.

There is no “before and after.” There is only the decision to keep showing up and taking responsibility for your health. That is where transformation happens.

You Were Never Meant to Do This Alone

One of the biggest lies in the wellness space is that you should be able to figure this out by yourself.

You’re smart, you’re capable and you’re are resourceful, but that does not mean you’re meant to navigate your health in isolation.

Real root cause work requires:

  • Outside perspective
  • Structured guidance
  • Step-by-step support

If you can relate, it means something in your approach needs to shift.

You are capable of achieving clarity, and support is available.

The next opportunity to go deeper is inside the Blood Sugar Bootcamp happening at the end of this month.

This is where you take what you’re learning and start applying it.
