Welcome to the crying in my cheesecake podcast, where we are in pursuit of living life abundantly, not held back by our body size or symptoms, nor are we held back by our hurts habits or other obstacles in life. Learn the secrets to crush it in your health, wellness relationships and spiritual life. I am Dr.

Danielle. I’m Aria. And we are your hosts and practitioners. And in this episode, we are going to dive into what you can expect from the wilderness of wellness. So I’m going to let Aria start this because I’m the one that like built this behind the scenes. It is my dream. And I want you to see she’s no longer an outsider, but she is someone that, um, was not behind all of the building of it originally.

And I want you to hear from her as a nutrition expert, but also as someone that’s actively in involved inside the wilderness of wellness. What It looks like, feels like, and what you can expect inside there. Is that putting you on the spot, Aria? I love it.

A little bit because I just feel like there’s so much to talk about.

Like, I’m like, where the heck do I start? Okay, so, basically, I think what I love about the Wilderness of Wellness is that no matter what tier you’re in, there’s going to be kind of a path for you to follow, right? Like, no matter where you’re at in your journey, whether you’re, you know, somewhere that’s kind of closer to where me and Danielle are, or you’re just starting out, you’re going to find something for you in there.

There’s going to be something relevant, and there’s going to be people going through similar situations. You know, there’s people on all levels, all stages. Um, that’s something we talk about a lot, too, on the podcast. So, yeah, I mean, no matter what you’re going through, you’re going to find a place to start.

You know, wherever it is, because we have the success path that lays everything out for you. There’s multiple video trainings that you can go back and watch. Um, everything is self paced. So, um, one of the things I love is when you sign in, it tells you you were never behind. Right? Like, so no matter, I could not forget because it’s right on the homepage.

So no matter, you know, whether you’ve been in a busy season of life and you haven’t been able to get on and connect, Or, you know, you’ve been on every day, you’re going to find something that relates to you in that moment of your life. So you can always pick up where you left off. If you get busy and you’re not able to go through all the videos or whatever.

So every month there’s going to be a well visit where um, Dr. Danielle is going to give you um, a rundown on a topic and you’re going to get in depth with that topic and action steps, right? There’s going to be action steps to take. So you’re never going to feel behind because there’s always going to be something for you where you’re at right now and you can always go back and finish it.

Um, everything’s recorded. There’s also, depending on what tier you’re in, there’s group coaching and, um, one on one support. Um, there’s just so many things, like, I can’t, I can’t go into all of it because there’s just so much that you’re going to get out of it and out of your experience that it really truly is for every woman in every stage of their life.

Yeah, and I’m going to, uh, just walk through just some of the differences. So right now we have three tiers. The first tier is the Explorer and inside the Explorer you get, um, phase one of my success path, which is becoming a mindset master. It’s unlocking and unleashing those old belief patterns and those old thought patterns that you have.

I walk you through literally, I think it’s six different lessons or six different modules with some lessons inside with activities to work on at your own pace. Like that’s the whole point of this. We are not living the same life. We are not living the same everything. So we need to make sure. That we understand, um, that health is accessible no matter where you’re at in your life, wherever you’re at in your journey.

So phase one, I think is the most important. And that’s why I put that in the Explorer tier. You also get, uh, resources and tools, access to different resources and tools, updated recipes each month. And the recipes are really stinking amazing because you can make your own meal plans for the week. You can get, you know, don’t get bored with your recipes.

They’re not hard. They’re foods that we like to eat. They’re not things that are, you know, they’re not things that are going to be. Oh, this has too many ingredients or this has too much too many flavors or things I don’t like. Also, I always look, I don’t follow recipes myself. I look at them as the idea and then I add my own flavoring and my own portion sizes.

And if it calls for salmon, you better know that I’m not going to be eating salmon. I’m going to be swapping that with some chicken or some pork because that’s just who I am. I’m not a salmon, a cooked salmon kind of gal. And then you get monthly challenges in there and access to the base camp, which is the main.

It’s almost like when you open up Facebook, it’s your feed. Um, and you get to see everything that’s going on. You can have conversations with people, get to know, ask questions, all of that. So that is the Explorer. And I know I’m leaving off a lot there, but that’s just the gist of it. The next tier level is the adventure.

They get all of the Explorer plus the monthly call with me and with Aria. Aria is almost always on the calls. That’s our. Well visit you get monthly group therapy. Monthly group therapy is like 149 value. Just in that alone, because that right there, not only do you draw closer, you don’t have to speak up in it, but you’re going to learn something about yourself.

And you’re going to be able to reflect on it and get support. You need. We are not there to fix you or manipulate you, but we are there to support you in it. helping you make or remove obstacles from your life that could be keeping you from the health patterns or health that you actually want. You get access to small groups that we call these pods.

These small groups are where the deeper friendships and deeper accountability happen. And these ladies just go to bat and fight for each other. If you get silent, they’re chasing you. If you start to isolate, because when we start feeling overwhelmed, we tend to isolate. They’re not going to let you isolate.

You don’t get away with much from here. You get workouts. They’re popping, they’re coming, um, in their monthly check in forms and coaching from the monthly check in you get quarterly goal setting parties. And these goal setting parties aren’t like generic goal setting parties. We literally party. We bring a non alcoholic drink and I will pop a cork and we will celebrate the wins that you’ve had.

We will celebrate and the wins are usually not weight loss. Because I don’t care about your pants size. You know what I care about? Your confidence. I care about your consistency. I care about the behavior changes that you have made. And you get all six phases of my success path, again, that are self And then there’s Trailblazer.

Trailblazer is the top tier, the third tier, however you want to describe it. But this is for deeper personalization and accountability. So not only do you get all of Explore and Adventure, you also get quarterly nutritional assessment questionnaires, where we, Ari and I, will sit down and we go over all of your intake, we go over all of your posts, we go over everything for the, for the course.

Order, and we, we create for you a personalized protocol, nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle support to help you get the, um, to get the results that you want and deserve. There’s monthly group, um, coaching office hours where you just show up and get support and coaching in that personalized coaching in the group.

You get personalized protocols and so much more. And this is, this is the space where I’ve created that it is for. The woman who is a follower of Jesus, is tired of the dieting rules, is, wants real and practical ways to implement health into their real life, not the ideal life, because none of us live an ideal life, we live a real life.

Um, tires are going to pop on the interstate, you are going to have, or you’re going to forget meat that needs to be thawed, you’re going to forget an ingredient at the store, you’re going to forget things, and that’s okay, and that’s what we’re here for. This is for women that are ready for a partnership in their health.

Notice I said partnership. This is not us telling you what to do. It’s us doing this together. Because with the same level of energy that you come forward with, we come with you. It’s that, that, that, it’s, It is a mutual relationship. We really want you to learn how to live a healthy life that is countercultural, counter to what mainstream America, mainstream Western culture is doing.

Um, and I just, this is a safe space. We have people sharing very vulnerable things, and those things are kept to us and within the group. Things that are said in the group stay in the group. Um, Unless there’s explicit permission to share. I firmly believe that we cannot change if we do not feel safe if we do not feel safe to share vulnerably because vulnerability leads to human connection and then human connection is when we have change and you think about.

Why people don’t want to change. It’s because their spouse like they’ll use the excuse. Well, my husband doesn’t understand or my husband won’t eat these things. Well, you know what? He’s an adult and he can make his own meal. If he doesn’t like what he what’s made for dinner, then so be it. That’s not our job.

Our job is to nourish our families and to lead by example as women and being in a group of women who get that changes everything. So yeah, I, the, the wilderness of wellness is the space for lifestyle, like real lifestyle change and behavior change. I know people in the dieting industry are like the old MLMs.

You remember the whole Shakeology, what was it called? Was it Shakeology? What are the people? Um, Beachbody. Beachbody. They would be, it’s, it’s a lifestyle, not. It’s a lifestyle, not a something. I don’t know. I don’t know what the slogan is. Oh, what is it called? It’s a

No, I want to look it up.

Oh, shoot. Okay, so anyway, they would say it was a lifestyle, not a something change.

And I’m like, but we have to change our behaviors. And how do we change our behaviors? We change our behaviors by changing our mindset. Are you finding, are you looking for it? Yeah. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle.

I was thinking maybe it was,

but I think that’s what they would say. And even the Octavia, is Octavia even still relevant?

I don’t even know. This shows you how cultural I am not.

Are

people still doing Optavia?

Probably. I mean, I feel like it was, like, maybe a year ago that my friend was doing it, so, yeah. Oh, okay. Okay.

Yeah, and, um, all the people that came to me and lost gallbladders and had hysterectomies after doing Optavia, and they’re, like, promised that they’ll get pregnant, basically they’ll be promised they’ll get pregnant or whatever, and I’m like, well, you’re actually losing your parts, so you really can’t get pregnant when you’re losing your parts, but, um, Anyway, all that to say, like, it is, it’s counter cultural to say, counter cultural to the dieting or the wellness industry to say that this is a behavior change, but we know in scripture and Herring’s Law of Cure that we heal from inside out and what comes from the inside is always going to show on the outside.

Our behaviors are a reflection of our beliefs, whether it’s about ourselves, the way we do life. Things like that. But we, our behaviors are a reflection and you have to address the root of your behaviors. Like if you are irritable, you’re not irritable because you’re ir. You’re an irritable person. You’re irritable because something inside is not sitting right, and you’ve been triggered almost like that nerve has been hit, and it’s triggered.

So then you get snippy or snappy at someone. That is a behavior. Being snippy and snappy is a behavior that is. Something that needs to be changed. How do we change that? We go to the root of that. And that’s what we’re doing in the wilderness of wellness. With the Wilderness of Wellness, um, I want to, I just wanted to create an episode here, um, just about how, what to expect inside there, how it works, and the different tiers.

And I think some of the biggest questions that I get are, well, what tier do I belong in? Like, I’m not sure if this is for me, I’m not sure what this is, I’m not sure how. Start in the Explorers. If you are someone who is super busy right now, And you’re just, you’re kind of playing small. Let’s just say you’re playing small, and you know what I mean when I say playing small.

You don’t want to change. That’s exactly what it is. The Explorer tier makes it easy for you to start believing and getting those quick wins. Because I would, personally, I would have you start in the monthly challenge. And the monthly challenge is the easiest thing to move the needle in your health and wellness.

It is one habit to incorporate that is going to move the needle. It may seem stupid and piddly and little, but these are what actually healthy people do. I’m teaching you these things and not even just teaching you. So there are lessons in there, not giving you minimums and maximums, just that there is accountability.

There’s accountability in every aspect of the wilderness of wellness, no matter what tier you’re in. You cannot make progress without accountability. I don’t care who you are, and I don’t care what area of life it is. You have to have accountability. Moving up into the adventure, And the adventure you want the community you want the small groups you want to build this you are more invested is what I should say you’re more invested in in like changing you want to change all the things and you want the community you want monthly calls you want to have that live interaction and you want to celebrate and be more involved that is where the adventures go again with deeper accountability there if you are all in and you’re like.

I’m ready just to be coached. I want the personalization. I want all the live calls. I want all the things, Danielle. Then Trailblazer is where you belong. And Trailblazer is where you’re going to get that customization, that personalization and more access, more higher level access to Aria and myself. So inside the wilderness of wellness, you are getting mindset support.

You’re getting monthly challenges. You’re getting recipes. You’re getting all the tools and the resources that you need. You don’t see a resource you need, ask, post it on the wall. We are here to help you. And you know, what’s cool. We have peer leaders that they are there. Oh my gosh. They keep me in line.

Aria, those girls are amazing, aren’t they? I just want to shout them out here. We’ve got Haley. Haley is our youngest peer leader and she is the emerging leader that I knew she could be. Um, I have known her since she was in 7th grade. I was her English teacher in 7th and 8th grade, and Yes, and um, so she is an emerging leader, a new mom and she loves other ladies and knows from her experience of working with me one to one for a few years of just my expectations and she is also one that will, that can help teach vulnerability.

We’ve got Jenny. Jenny is also, she’s a mom of, I think it’s four, correct? Cause she’s got. Two of her own and two stepchildren and she is really Adept in more of the holistic living and really like the more like raw milk the farming the homesteading Yep Homeschooling like she’s got that she’s got it figured out and she is So loving and these girls are so these all three of these ladies are just so gentle and loving and Encouraging and like I said, they keep me in line and then we’ve got Darlene.

Darlene is just an amazing. She’s my West Coaster She is an amazing, loving woman who isn’t afraid to call a spade a spade. And she is someone who desires more for herself and more for others. And she sees that in everybody. And it’s, it’s just beautiful. The community here that we have, the collective that we have here is unlike any other.

And I also wanted to, um, just talk about this, this space, uh, we keep talking about Jesus followers. We do have people that are, this is an intergenerational community of women. And we do have women that aren’t followers of Jesus yet, and that’s totally fine. We have women that are seeking and like wanting to learn more about Jesus.

We also have women that have, um, been mature in their faith for decades. And I think that’s what makes it beautiful is that we have such a deep and rich community and different perspectives and different experiences that really help us all out. And it, and it’s very humbling that these ladies would come together in one place and trust us with their health and wellness and literally every part of them.

Right.

I totally agree. And it’s just so beautiful to see everybody. Come together and like, like you said, it’s probably people that wouldn’t be friends in real life, but it’s like, you know, you come together and you’re like, Oh, you know, like you learn so much from everybody. Like you’re not just learning from Danielle and I, or Laura, you’re learning from each other, too.

And I think everyone’s been through and I think, like, I think, when did you say this? I think you said this a couple episodes back. It’s like doing life together, right? You’re really learning, you know, because somebody might be where you are with. grown kids and whatever and be able to relate to your situation or help you.

So it’s really nice to have a diverse group of women.

Absolutely. And one of the other benefits too, is that you are eligible then to come to the Wilderness of Wellness retreats that are in person. And the retreats, we had our first one in June of 2024. And that was where it just felt like we all knew each other, we all were already connected, that weird awkwardness of like not knowing each other, it wasn’t there because we already know so many deep details about each other, um, that it just, we were able to continue and go deeper, and it was It was amazing.

It was a power packed, basically two days. We had worship service. We had just some initial things on the first night and then it was a punch full, punch full. Yeah, punch full. I just made up a word. It was a punch full. Gosh, I’m so dumb sometimes. I

think I know what you mean. Yeah. Power punch, is that what I’m going for?

Yeah, that’s a thing I think.

Okay. Power packed. Anyway, it was a lot of information on the second day, which, you know, I think that we can easily get overwhelmed when there’s so much and feel like, oh my gosh, I have so much to do and I haven’t used anything from my, from this retreat. But we aren’t supposed to take everything from every retreat.

Just like when we open scripture, not everything is going to hit us the same as it does. the next time. And so there may be things because I, you know, as a former classroom teacher, I’m going to meet everybody and I have to. And so like that opportunity of like, okay, well, this is maybe where I’m going to go next or maybe not.

And I just, I loved the in person retreat. It was, it was awesome. It was fun. And I cannot wait to have it again. So. There’s that and Aria will be there next time.

I’ll be there next time. Yeah, for sure.

Yes. So, um, with that said, that’s all that this episode I just, that’s all I really wanted to talk about. I wanted to shout out some beautiful ladies inside the group and just talk about the leadership that’s in there, the community that’s in there.

And, um, yeah, it is probably honestly, one of my favorite things I get to do. Every single month. All right, guys, until next week.
