International Delight Creamers–BzzAgent Kit

I’ve been given the opportunity to try and test out International Delight’s Pumpkin Spice creamer for my coffee.  I received two coupons to use toward purchasing these creamers to try and give my honest opinions regarding the product.  If you’d like to become a BzzAgent, please click here to send me your email address and name and I will add you to the family!

Here is what the Bzz kit tells me about the product:

Coffee + cream = pumpkin-y dream

Fall is a season dedicated to delighting your senses. The softness of cozy, chunky sweaters and well-worn jeans. The crackle of bonfires and the cheering of sports fan. But most importantly is that delicious pumpkin flavor you’ve waited months for. The wait is over for that sweet aroma and velvety, spicy taste.

This fall, International Delight® brings you rich, creamy Pumpkin Pie Spice (along with four other holiday flavors) to make any seasonal gathering more festive. Or simply to treat yourself to a minute of quiet, autumnal bliss.

In the coming months you’ll find new seasonal International Delight® Coffee Creamers at the Kroger Co. Family of Stores and other fine retailers. Try them all before they’re gone!

Prior to this campaign, I had not ever used the International Delight Coffee Creamer.  When buying creamers I tend to go for the sugar free options because there are less calories and less fat usually in them.  I also don’t like my coffee to taste sweet, but I like to taste the flavors in my coffee as well.  I am excited to try this creamer as Pumpkin Spice is one of my favorite drinks, especially at Starbucks.  If this will provide me less caloric drink, I will be excited to buy more.  Something else I see according to the pictures are there isn’t just a fat free vs sugar free vs regular coffee creamers.  There is Sugar Free AND Fat Free in one bottle! I’m very excited to try this product even more now.  I also can’t wait to view the nutrition value on the back to see how it compares to other creamers.

I’m also allowed to try whatever seasonal flavors there are.  According to the campaign’s pictures, it looks like I have the options of: Pumpkin Pie Spice, Frosted Sugar Cookie, Gingerbread Latte, Peppermint Chocolate Truffle, and White Chocolate Raspberry.

Truthfully I probably wouldn’t try the White Chocolate Raspberry or the Frosted Sugar Cookie, but I may give it a whirl.  I also will have $1 off coupons to share with friends.

I received my #BzzKit in the mail last week.  It came with the items listed above.  Since getting my coupons it has been very hard to find the creamers in stock, let alone the Sugar Free + Fat Free options.  I really wanted to try those options first before writing my opinions, but I am tired of store hopping to find them.

Today actually was the first day I found the Pumpkin Pie Spice, so I picked that up and have had my first cup.  I bought the Peppermint last week when I finally found it.

Notice they are behind a fresh pot of coffee, and I’m unsure as to why it is sideways!  Sorry!

Reviews:

Peppermint Chocolate Truffle

Pros: Just the smell alone made me not so sure about why it would be any different than the other leading brand, but once I poured it into my cup with some coffee and the aroma that came in my mouth and that fresh clean crisp taste in the back of my throat–yes that’s it–the taste of winter, the taste of the holidays.  Yes I absolutely loved this and I believe I smiled after my first cup.  Amazing.

My husband’s thoughts were not necessarily the same as mine.  But he enjoyed it.

Pumpkin Pie Spice

The smell is very strong of pumpkin-y flavors.  It is a rich, but not over powering flavor inside my bold coffee.  When I think of Pumpkin coffee I always think of Starbucks.  No one can out-do Starbucks.  But the Pumpkin Pie Spice from International Delight is definitely a good pumpkin alternative at home.

Cons:

1. Hard to find!  I went to 3 different major chain grocery stores and my husband went to Wal Mart.  It was no where to be found.  I finally found it today but no options of the Sugar Free + Fat Free that I really wanted to try.

2. The foil seal is difficult to take off.  I prefer the plastic ring to take off the seal as it is much easier to handle.

3. Cost.  If I bought this sized container outright it is $3.19.  I find this to be a bit expensive and would probably out of fear not buy it if I hadn’t had the coupon.

4. I didn’t see any smaller sized options for these either.
