You know that feeling…
You’re doing all the “right” things. Eating “healthy.” Working out when you can. Trying to keep it all together. But something still feels… off.
You’re tired, you’re foggy, and you’ve started to think this must just be what aging feels like.
Let me stop you right there.
This isn’t aging. This is blood sugar dysfunction—and it’s one of the most overlooked root causes sabotaging women’s health.
We’re Not Just Tired, We’re Dismissed
Most women who end up in my office are already doing their best. But what they’ve gotten in return is fragmented care, prescriptions without context, and dismissal after dismissal.
I’ve been there too—handed off from doctor to doctor, told to “come back in two years” even when something’s clearly wrong. My own journey with Hashimoto’s and family history of heart disease has made it crystal clear:
Women are not being heard. And that has deadly consequences.
Why You’re Crashing at 2 PM (It’s Not Just The Coffee)
Let’s talk about symptoms you’ve probably normalized:
- Afternoon crashes or naps
- Constant caffeine and sugar cravings
- Brain fog that coffee doesn’t fix
- Mood swings, irritability, and guilt about lashing out
- Perimenopause or menopause symptoms that seem to hit overnight
These aren’t personality flaws or a lack of discipline.
They’re signs that your blood sugar is out of balance.
Blood sugar imbalances affect your hormones, sleep, brain function, digestion, weight, and even your risk of cancer and heart disease.
And here’s the kicker: most doctors won’t even look at this until you’re already diabetic.
No, Fasting Isn’t the Fix (Unless You Have Epilepsy)
Despite what the trendy wellness crowd says, intermittent fasting is not your answer unless you have epilepsy or severe brain trauma.
Why?
Because fasting is stress. And women—especially those with autoimmune issues or adrenal dysfunction—don’t need more stress.
Instead, I teach women how to regulate their blood sugar with real food, on a real-life schedule, with real, sustainable support.
My Three-Pillar Blood Sugar Reset
If your body feels off, it’s time to come back to these three pillars:
1. Regulate
- Eat within 60 minutes of waking
- Eat every 3–4 hours
- Pair every carb (yes, even fruit and vegetables) with fat or protein
2. Refuel
- Aim for 30–40g of protein per meal
- Prioritize animal-based, bioavailable sources (beef, poultry, fish)
- If plant-based, start slowly and with high-quality collagen or whey isolates
If you’re not hitting 100g of protein per day, you’re setting yourself up for osteoporosis, muscle loss, and hormone dysfunction.
3. Restore
- Prioritize sleep and nervous system recovery
- Take short walks after meals
- Stay hydrated with pure water and electrolytes (ditch the tap water)
Stop Blaming Yourself. Start Demanding Better.
You’re not broken, crazy or lazy.
But you do need a new approach.
One that looks at your whole life—not just your labs.
One that asks about your food, your childhood, your stress, your movement, your trauma.
One that gives you a tailored protocol—not a template from Instagram.
